AN independent law firm is expanding its services with the launch of a human resources consultancy.
Hadrian HR, based in Newcastle city centre, aims to help micro and small businesses struggling to comply with national and European legal requirements by offering a fix-price, pay-as- you-go service.
The consultancy has been developed by Gordon Brown Law Firm which realised there was a demand for an expert HR service with practical costs for smaller businesses.
Hadrian HR is headed up by HR professional Deb Tweedy, who says the consultancy has the capacity to support clients from across the region.
She said: ?Hadrian HR has been set up to address the chronic need for a no-nonsense HR consultancy that can support small businesses and help them to put in place professional HR practices. Many companies start up without any real HR expertise but it?s something that is vital to ensure that they are operating with all of the correct legal procedures in place.
?Small businesses often don?t require a salaried HR position so the consultancy service that we offer is an ideal alternative for them.?
Hadrian HR offers different levels of consultancy packages ranging from a full audit of current policies to full documentation, implementation and ongoing support and advice.
Businesses can also draw on Hadrian HR for training, support with recruitment and for any urgent issues. Prices start from ?250 for one-off services and less than ?180 per month for a 12- month package, which includes access to a 24/7 helpline.
Jonathon Stokes, partner at Gordon Brown Law Firm, said: ?It?s always been a concern of ours that many micro and small businesses don?t have the correct practices and procedures in place to meet minimum legal requirements.?
