The Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA(TM)) is an open, industry driven initiative promoting distribution of digital video and entertainment through existing coaxial cable in the home. MoCA technology provides the backbone for whole home entertainment networks of multiple wired and wireless products. The alliance operates under reasonable and non-discriminatory licensing (RAND).

The MoCA BoD includes Comcast, Cox Communications, EchoStar Technologies, Entropic Communications, Linksys, Motorola, Panasonic, RadioShack, Toshiba and Verizon.

MoCA has undergone extensive field tests validating more than 100Mpbs net data throughput in 97 percent of all outlets, a minimal service provider requirement, and 100 percent of all outlets with a .50cent filter

MoCA has certified 17 products as compliant with the MoCA standard. There are more than 45 members and counting.
